Youth will develop the same skills that wood-workers use , such as measuring, squaring and cutting a board, driving nails, and using clamps and screws. The final woodwork project may be either a picture frame, a letter holder, a box, or an airplane. The life skills included in this curriculum are learning to learn, planning and organizing, communication, and decision making. It is suggested that all youth begin with this guide to be grounded in the basics of woodworking.
